What is Search It?Search It is an omnipresent search bar for your favourite search engines and wikis.
You can bring it always to front. Without switching your current space - 0 annoyance :) -
How do I use it?Just press OPTION + ESC and the search bar pops up.
Type anything you want to search on the net and press enter.
That’s it - information at your fingertips ;-) -
How do I change the search engines?Just locate the s!-entry in your screen's upper right corner.
Click it and chose Preferences from the menu.
In the General tab you can change each search engine for each key and their respective languages.

How do I change the global hotkey?Just locate the s!-entry in your screen's upper right corner.
Click it and chose Preferences from the menu.
Go to the Advanced tab and click on the control right of "Global Hotkey:"
The control turns dark grey and now you can press the hotkey you want to be the activator for Search It
We don't recommand changing this though as there may be some conflicts with other apps on your mac.
The default Option + Escape is one of the few key combinations that aren't used often.
Consider please that many key combinations don't work at all as they are occupied by OS X already.

How do I add search engines?Well, that's a little hacky and generally not recommended.
But if you need to add a new engine really badly check the "engines.plist" file in the bundle. (If you don't know what this means: Just wait till we release a new version with a built in engine editor.) -
Which search engines are supported?Search It supports at the moment (1.0) Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, WoW-Wiki, WoWHead and Dict.cc.
We're releasing updates regularly so this list is about to grow.

Whats the default key mapping?Anywhere on your Mac:
OPTION + ESCAPE => brings the Search It Main Window to front (without switching your current space)
While Search It is active:
RETURN => Search in Google
COMMAND + RETURN => Search Wikipedia
SHIFT + RETURN => Open as URL -
How much does it cost?Search It is freeware.
